Live Preview: You can see the live preview of your current theme. If you use Veda theme, you can customize it right here. But, in case of third-party Shopify theme, you need to go back to Shopify dashboard to edit it.

Restore the previous page version when Veda fails

||| 🤔 How do I restore the previous page version when Veda Builder renders the style unsuccessfully?

| 💡 When Veda has an error, please report it to the dev team via the report form. They will definitely fix it as soon as possible. In the meantime, you should restore the previous page version so that customers can view your store normally.

Go back to your Shopify admin
Under Online Store, select Themes
Click the 3-dot icon and choose Edit Code

Find the page JSON file you want to restore. Search the keyword below

product.json (Product)
list-collections.json (Collections)
collection.json (Collection)
article.json (Article)
blog.json (Blog)
index.json (Home)

For example, you’d like to restore the Collection page version, search and select collection.json

You will see the “Recent changes” area, click the drop-down menu and choose the latest version that is right under the Current version to restore the previous collection page version.

Sections

Add Section button: Veda provides various sections for different purposes. Don't forget to use "Search Sections" function to narrow down your choices. Pick and install any section you want. The installed section will be added at the bottom.

Click on a section: Open the section to edit further and personalize it to your liking. You can change:

Preset template
Section settings: Background type (None, image, color & video), background overlay enable, background padding.
Content: Edit, move, duplicate or delete elements
Column: Choose a column for each device (up to 12 columns)
3-dot icon beside section name: Edit code, rename, duplicate, export, import, and delete a section and re-order elements of the section.

Minus (-) icon: Delete all sections. Eye 👁 icon: Hide/show a section. 3-dot icon: Edit code

Build other specific pages outside my installed Veda theme

|| 💡 Tip: To make it clearer, imagine that you're activating a Veda theme named Liberty.

Replace the specific page of Liberty with another page.

For example, if Liberty's homepage template doesn't meet your requirements & you desire to switch to another homepage. You can totally do so:

Click on Homepage on the sidebar
Hit Create new page button

Create a new homepage

Blank Page: Create a homepage from a blank page OR
Install a homepage template and customize it to your own unique needs.

Select a page template

Give the page a name

||| ⚠️ Heads up: Enable Theme Header & Footer: Activating the Theme Header & Footer will have a domino effect on other pages. So, be careful when enabling this option.

When you finish customizing the template, you can save it as a draft or publish it. If you publish it, it will replace Liberty's homepage on your store.

Add a new landing page to Liberty theme.

In case you wish to create a new landing page for a particular marketing campaign. Follow the following steps:

“Publish and do not override” vs. “Confirm override”

What’s the difference between the two buttons: “Publish and do not override” vs. “Confirm override”?

|| 📑"Confirm override" means that apply this page design to ${color}#e21212 items.

You’d better pay extra attention to the two buttons when designing a new page for page type: Product Page, Collection Page, Blog Page, and Article Page. Especially when you choose to apply a new design to all items. Take the Product Page for example, 10 minutes ago, you created a new page for 3 products (shirt, t-shirt, and suit). You named this page design Upper Clothes. Now, you want to create another product page design (named: Unisex Clothes) for all other products without affecting the Upper Clothes design (shirt, t-shirt, and suit):

Click on Product Page on the left sidebar
Create new page
Click the “All” button
Customize as per your needs
Publish page

||| ⚠️ Important: Click “Publish and do not override” button.

What if you click “Confirm override”? If so, all product pages including the Upper Clothes design (shirt, t-shirt, and suit) will be updated to the Unisex Clothes page design. So be careful with these two buttons.

Some products/articles don't update Veda design

| 💡 This is probably because you use another page builder app to build those pages. To fix it, you need to find those unchanged items on the Shopify admin dashboard. Navigate to the theme template and switch it to the Default theme.
