Design without Sales Interruption: Exploring Veda's 'Choose a Theme to Work On' for Continuous Selling during Website Revamp

Why should we use this feature?

As a Shopify store owner, ensuring a visually appealing and user-friendly website is crucial for attracting and retaining customers. However, the process of redesigning your website, whether it's the homepage, product pages, or collection pages, can be time-consuming and disruptive to your business operations. In the past, enabling maintenance mode during the redesign phase was the norm, temporarily halting sales and potentially impacting your revenue. But now, with Veda's innovative feature called "Choose a Theme to Work On," you can seamlessly revamp your website while continuing to sell products without any interruptions.

What is "Choose a Theme to Work On"?

Veda's "Choose a Theme to Work On" feature allows you to sync your design changes to a specific theme of your choice. This means that as a shop owner, you can create a duplicated theme from your main theme and then designate it as the active theme to work on.
By creating a duplicate theme, you can freely experiment with design changes, customize layouts, and refine your user experience without affecting the live version of your website.

How does it work?

To begin using the "Choose a Theme to Work On" feature in Veda, follow these simple steps:

Access the Veda theme editor in your Shopify admin dashboard.
Duplicate your main theme by selecting the "Duplicate Theme" option.

Search for Veda app and click on it

You will see the "Choose a Theme to Work On" box in the top right corner of the admin area. Now, please set the duplicated theme to this setting and click on the "Save" button.

That's it! Now, when you sync a page to your store, it will be synchronized to the duplicated theme. Once everything is completed and you are satisfied with the changes, you can publish this duplicate theme on your store.
