How to Get Instagram Access Token
Getting an Instagram Access Token can be a bit confusing, but we've got you covered. Follow these simple steps to get your Access Token and start displaying your Instagram feed on your store.
Before getting your Access Token, you need to create an app on Facebook for Developers. To do this, log into Facebook, go to Facebook Developers Account, and click the Create App button.

Select More Options & choose Something Else to register an app with a custom permissions set. Add a name, contact email address, and connect your Business Manager Account if you have one.



After you've succeeded in adding a new app, you'll be redirected to a new page where you have to configure Instagram Basic Display & also add a tester to create your Access Token.

Navigate to the Basic Display section and scroll to the very bottom of the page. Click the Create New App button and as the name of the App, choose the name you created.


Add an Instagram Tester (test user) to generate an Access Token. Under the Basic Display section, find and click the Add or Remove Instagram Testers button.

Click add Instagram Testers & add the Instagram User ID for the account.


Log into the Instagram account of the username you added, navigate to Settings > Apps and Websites > Tester Invites tab > Click Accept to approve the invitation.



Go back to the Facebook Developers dashboard. Find the app you created, then navigate to Basic Display. Scroll to the User Token Generator Section and click the Generate Token button. Copy the Access Token from the pop-up window.



Go to the Instagram tab of your dashboard and paste the Access Token to the input box. Then you are ready to display your Instagram Feed on your store!
